About Me
At one point, the most common question I would hear when someone sees my resume is, “So how did you get from Chemistry to Public Relations?” These days, it’s a less often occurrence as people more routinely move from one career path to another.
For those still interested in the answer, it’s based in a love of technology and a passion for communications that brought me from here to there. What started as a hobby in college in the early 90s–keeping a website for myself and those friends who were interested–developed into learning to utilize the web for reaching an ever-widening audience as the Internet moved from being the proxy of the scientific community to being a place where all walks of life turn for entertainment and information.
Even before I learned the ins and outs of the online environment, I had a passion for automobiles, and eventually, this passion paid off with a position at Brandware Public Relations, and automotive-centric PR firm. There, I learned the trade of traditional communications, which I now combine with my knowledge of and curiousity in new media to create media opportunities for my employer in all spaces, whether they be print, radio, TV, and online.
Personal Life
When I’m not working, I live with my partner Steven and our three cats, Mephisto, Nero and Begemot, in Atlanta, GA. I enjoy baking, being an active member of my church, and travel both foreign and domestic.
